About Vehicular Insecticide
So this weekend I decided to put some serious
miles on my car and take a ride with the Regina Monster® up to Merced and
then to San Francisco. The title of this blog refers to nothing more than the
fact that my car destroyed the lives of many insects on the drive up, some I
even saw try to pull up right before their final moments only to end in a thorax
snapping pop. On a much brighter note, it was completely worth the lives of
those insects and the hours of driving to have french toast with my brother in
San Fran and talk about things that ultimately, like this blog, don't matter.
What I realized, during those countless hours of driving was that my life really
is about the dots between the lines. The conversations over breakfast after a
long drive and a night of getting my ass served to me playing D.O.A on Play
Station 2 (like always). I keep playing him because it sets the universe in
order. The tireless hours at school and work only serve to highlight the benign,
the ordinary and the everyday. So as I type this post and eat the best soup in
the world, (made for me by the Regina Monster®), I salute the insects who
gave their lives to remind me of what matters most in life. . . that which does
not.
