For those of you who don't know, my birthday is on tuesday. What surprises me is that at some point in the last year, I became an adult. I don't think it was when I took the new job, or moved up to northern California. It happened sometime after, but before recently. I like to think it was when I decided to take control of my credit. Now, I was raised to respect money and to not spend what I didn't have. But I learned in recent years that credit has an entire folklore built around it. Complete with misconceptions, myths, and fish. . . stories? Anyways, my point is, that in the days of the internets and the amount of free flowing information out there, it is sort of silly to not watch something as life altering as your credit, like a hawk. So thats exactly what I started doing a few months ago. I tried a couple of different credit reporting services on-line, only to realize that I had a hidden collection on a separate bureau's report. Long story short, webpablo now has perfect credit (thanks to super easy on-line dispute tools). It basically cost me $15 a month, I get all three reports, and I can run them daily if I want. I am telling you this for several reasons.
